How I Got Here
I moved from the UK to the U.S. for love (yes, I miss real tea). But the transition wasn’t exactly smooth. I left behind my home, my career, and my entire support system—and started over in a 27-foot Airstream with my husband. We spent five years learning how to live well in a tiny space with minimal storage, maximum snacks, and a very low tolerance for clutter.
When I got pregnant with our daughter, I thought I was prepared. I’d read the books, done the classes, made the lists. But her birth was intense—and postpartum hit me hard. My family was back in the UK and I had no idea how much support I’d really need.

What I did have was a doula and amazing care team. Calm, grounding, and quietly fierce in their support. They helped me hold it together and made space for me to be human.
That experience cracked something open in me. I realized I wanted to be that kind of support for others—especially for people doing this whole thing in a small space, without a big village or Pinterest-perfect setup.
So I trained with Bebo Mia, a program rooted in inclusive, trauma-informed, client-led care. And I created RIVE—which literally means “to split or tear open.” Birth is raw like that. So is becoming a parent. But out of that opening comes something entirely new.
Now I offer minimalist, grounded doula support designed for big transitions in small spaces. If you’re prepping a one-bedroom apartment for a baby or just trying to find your footing without losing your mind, I’m here for it—and for you.
What RIVE Means
RIVE (verb): To split, tear open, or break apart—often with force or intention.
Birth is a rupture. It splits you open physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and on the other side, you’re someone new.
RIVE exists to honor that opening. To hold it gently. To help you move through it with clarity, calm, and care—especially when life feels tight on space or support.

When I'm not supporting families like yours...
You can usually find me on my mountain bike, tending to my jungle of houseplants, on the yoga mat, or drinking a beer with my friends.
My Approach
RIVE was created for the minimalist, the intentional, the space-constrained, and the deeply curious.
Here’s how I show up for you:
Intentional Prep
Tools and conversations that help you cut through the noise and connect to what actually matters for your birth.
Emotional Spaciousness
I hold nonjudgmental, grounded space for the fears, shifts, and unknowns that come with birth—especially in small homes or big transitions.
Less Stuff, More Support
I won’t ask you to buy 15 swaddles. I will help you organize your postpartum setup to feel calm, cozy, and uncluttered.
Real Talk + Gentle Care
I blend heart-forward presence with straightforward communication. Think: steady friend energy with birth wisdom and zero fluff.
Let's Connect
You don’t need a big space to feel held—you just need the right kind of support.
